Dr. Dudley Davis is a writer, speaker, businessman, and social scientist whose work focuses on resilience, education, and student empowerment. He holds a Master’s degree in Health Psychology from the University of New England and a Doctorate in Communication from Liberty University. His academic and professional journey reflects a deep commitment to understanding the intersection between human behavior, communication, and personal development—especially among underrepresented and at-risk populations. Throughout his career, Dr. Davis has dedicated himself to mentoring and supporting students who may be at risk of academic disengagement or dropping out. Drawing from his background in psychology, communication, and research, Dr. Davis has identified resilience, persistence, and self-efficacy as critical tools for academic and personal success. His leadership as Executive Director of the YES! Program—an initiative that has served over 30,000 youth in Southern Maine—demonstrates his ability to combine research-based strategies with practical, community-driven solutions. Dr. Davis’ doctoral dissertation, “Utilizing Resilience and Persistence Strategies to Reduce African American Doctoral Attrition,” embodies his lifelong mission to promote pathways to success for all students.
