
Code of Conduct

At Mentor Park, we are committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and respectful environment for all mentors and mentees. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behavior and the consequences for violations. By participating in Mentor Park, you agree to abide by these guidelines.
1. Our Commitment to a Positive Community
Mentor Park strives to provide a safe and welcoming space for individuals of all backgrounds, including but not limited to race, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability status, age, nationality, socioeconomic status, and religious beliefs. We expect all members to uphold these values in their interactions on our platform.
2. Expected Behavior
All members of Mentor Park should:
- Treat others with respect, kindness, and professionalism.
- Foster a culture of honesty, support, and encouragement.
- Provide constructive feedback with empathy.
- Respect differing viewpoints and engage in discussions in good faith.
- Adhere to confidentiality and privacy expectations when sharing sensitive information.
- Honor commitments to mentorship sessions and maintain clear communication.
- Respond to messages within agreed-upon timeframes.
- Provide notice of cancellations at least 24 hours in advance when possible to ensure rescheduling or refund options.
- Contribute positively to the growth and development of mentees.
- Recognize and respect professional boundaries.
3. Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
- Harassment, discrimination, or offensive comments based on personal attributes.
- Threats, intimidation, or violent speech.
- Hate speech, derogatory language, or personal attacks.
- Posting sexually explicit, violent, or inappropriate content.
- Impersonation, misrepresentation, or fraudulent behavior.
- Doxxing (sharing personal or confidential information without consent).
- Unwelcome advances, persistent messaging, or inappropriate interactions.
- Disruptive conduct that negatively impacts mentorship sessions or the platform.
- Deceptive AI-generated communications without disclosure.
- Solicitation of business relationships outside the platform in violation of our Terms of Service.
- Sharing contact information to circumvent platform fees.
- Promotion of illegal activities or content.
- Spamming or excessive self-promotion.
4. AI Use Policy
- AI must not be used to impersonate another person or fabricate reviews.
- AI-generated messages must be clearly disclosed when used in conversations.
- Excessive AI use without personal input is discouraged.
- AI-generated content cannot be published on Mentor Park without approval and proper attribution.
- Mentors may use AI tools to enhance their services but should maintain transparency about such usage.
- AI should be used as a supplement to, not a replacement for, human expertise and judgment.
- Users may not claim AI-generated content as their own original work.
5. Professional Ethics for Mentors
- Accurately represent their qualifications, experience, and expertise.
- Only offer guidance within their areas of competence.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries in all interactions.
- Provide honest, constructive feedback focused on growth.
- Respect mentees’ autonomy and decision-making authority.
- Disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect the mentorship relationship.
- Maintain confidentiality of discussions unless legally required to disclose.
- Refrain from exploitative relationships of any kind.
6. Attendance and Scheduling Policy
- Both parties should arrive promptly to scheduled sessions.
- Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance when possible.
- Repeated no-shows without notice may result in account review.
- Mentors should maintain calendar availability on the platform.
- In case of unavoidable late cancellations, the affected party should be notified as soon as possible.
7. Consequences of Violating the Code of Conduct
- A warning from Mentor Park administrators.
- Temporary suspension of account access.
- Permanent removal from the platform for severe or repeated violations.
- Forfeiture of any pending payments or refunds.
- Possible legal action in cases of illegal behavior.
8. Reporting Violations
If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, please report it by:
- Contacting Mentor Park support at support@mentorpark.com.
- Providing relevant details for a thorough review, including date, time, description of the incident, and if relevant, screenshots.
9. Appeals Process
- Submit an appeal to support@mentorpark.com within 7 days of receiving notice.
- Include relevant details and any supporting evidence.
- A different administrator will review your appeal within 14 days.
- The decision of the appeals review is final.
10. Updates to the Code of Conduct
Mentor Park reserves the right to update this Code of Conduct at any time. Significant changes will be communicated to users via email and platform notifications at least 14 days before implementation.
